When you’re in close quarters on board, it’s hard to find a moment for yourself. Crew conflict can arise easily after being with the same people in tight spaces for long periods of time. But, one of the most important parts of being healthy on a yacht is mental relaxation. We at Crew Compass are a HUGE fan of meditation, and this simple practice can be beneficial to all crew members. There are also more modern mantras, which are small phrases such as “I am calm, I am light.” (Or, “I will try to keep my sanity”)

    1. Thanks for your feedback! Clearly you’re NOT a fan of using meditation to control stress and remain calm. Is there a particular technique you use instead to stay calm for yourself and others? We want to be helpful and provide value, so your advice is very much appreciated 🙂
